       Good Sex or Good Scam?

Veromax - Have it your way

Health food stores in Canada proclaim that Veromax, developed by Dr. Melvin Duckett, a leading U.S. urologist, provides superior nutritional support for all men of all ages who wish to improve sexual and prostate health. On May 14, 2000 the Toronto Star accepted two quarter page advertisements for this sexual enhancement formula. The only trouble is that Dr. Mel Duckett has a history of trouble with the licensing board in Maryland.

    MELVIN J. DUCKETT, M.D.
    Maryland License #D32401,

Specialty: General Surgery (Sparks, MD) Reprimand; fine of $10,000. The physician failed to cooperate with a Board investigation. Effective 4/22/98

The Board then sanctioned this Practitioner. The last one was CASE NO: 95-0850.

This involved charges that Dr. Duckett was seriously padding bills, and that some of his employees, who were not physicians, were actually performing surgical procedures. Blue Cross charged him with billing for procedures that he had advertised were "free", billing for care not rendered, and other billing irregularities. He failed to respond to two subpoenas, This was a Consent Order which resulted in a 6 month license suspension that began on Dec. 15, 1999. Details are available.

Please contact the Board for additional Information.
